What is two-factor authentication?
Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) provides an extra layer of security on your Oz Lotteries account. Once enabled, it will prompt you to enter a one-time password (OTP) each time you access your account. We recommend enabling two-factor authentication to help protect your account from unauthorised access.
For more information on how to enable this security feature please follow the steps outlined in this article.
I’ve already entered my one-time password (OTP) to log in — why am I being asked to enter it again during the same session?
Enabling two-factor authentication on your account secures your login, some actions within your account may prompt the need to enter an additional OTP. This provides an extra layer of protection to help keep your account secure and your information safe.
I haven’t enabled two-factor authentication on my account, why am I still being asked to enter a one-time password (OTP)?
Sometimes Oz Lotteries will require you to enter a OTP for security reasons, regardless of whether two-factor authentication is enabled. We know that this can be frustrating, however it is just another way we help keep your account secure and your information safe.
I haven’t received my OTP in my email, what should I do?
If your OTP hasn’t arrived, try the following steps:
- Check your spam or junk folder.
- Ensure your Oz Lotteries account has the correct email address (look out for typos).
- Make sure your email inbox isn’t full — clear some space if needed.
- If you have more than one Oz Lotteries account, you may have accidentally signed in to the wrong one. In this case, please contact our Customer Support team for assistance.
My OTP code isn’t working, what should I do?
OTP codes remain valid for 30 minutes. If that time has passed, you’ll need to request a new one. Simply return to your Oz Lotteries account and click “Send a new email” to generate a fresh code as pictured below.
