What changes are being made to Payment Preferences?
From 28th October 2024, ‘Only Use My Funds’ is being removed as a payment option to ensure you have the best chance possible to successfully purchase your selected product.
You can still manually top up the balance in your Oz Lotteries account to avoid auto-payments being made from your saved payment method.
What does this change mean for me?
If you are currently using ‘Only Use My Funds’ as your preferred payment option, your payment preference will be updated to use the funds in your Oz Lotteries account first, and if there are insufficient funds available, we’ll automatically draw from your saved alternative payment method (like a credit or debit card).
What do I need to do?
If you already have a valid payment method saved, great news – you’re all set!
If you need to add or change your alternative payment method simply log in, go to My Account → My Funds → Cards and Accounts (or click here), and add your new card or edit your existing card details.
What are my options if I don’t want to use my credit or debit card?
You can still manually top up the balance in your Oz Lotteries account to avoid auto-payments being made from your saved payment method. If there are sufficient funds in your Oz Lotteries account, no attempt will be made to charge your saved payment method.
My recurring purchase is currently paused, will these changes still apply to me?
Yes, whilst the status of your recurring purchase will remain unchanged, your payment preference will be updated to use the funds in your Oz Lotteries account first, and if there are insufficient funds available, we’ll automatically draw from your saved alternative payment method. To ensure you don’t miss out on any of your recurring purchases you will need to ensure you have a valid alternative payment method available by following the steps outlined above.
