Oz Lotteries accepts PayPal for deposits and withdrawals for Australian residents. Each PayPal account can only be linked to one Oz Lotteries account. You'll need to deposit using PayPal first before you can withdraw to it, and your account needs to be verified before any withdrawal.
Can I use PayPal with my Oz Lotteries account?
Yes, Oz Lotteries accepts PayPal for deposits and withdrawals, for Australian residents. Each PayPal account can only be linked to one Oz Lotteries account.
How do I deposit using PayPal?
You can make a PayPal deposit at two points on the website or app.
You can deposit from the Deposit Funds page in your Oz Lotteries account:
Website deposit
Enter your desired amount in Deposit amount, then click Pay with PayPal.
App deposit
- Tap on Account at the bottom of the screen, then tap Deposit funds.
- Enter your desired amount in Deposit amount, then tap Choose a method.
- Select PayPal from the options presented.
Alternatively, you can select PayPal as your payment method during checkout when buying a ticket.
Website checkout
Select PayPal as your payment method on the checkout page, then click Pay with PayPal.
App checkout
Tap Select payment method on the checkout screen, then select PayPal.
No matter which method you choose, you'll be prompted to sign in to your PayPal account.
Please note: if you use a Mastercard linked to your PayPal account, you'll be asked for your card's CVC once you're signed in.
If your PayPal deposit doesn't go through, contact PayPal directly, as a third-party payment provider, we're not able to look into PayPal-side issues. If you see an error saying you've exceeded the maximum number of PayPal accounts, contact our support team for help.
Always deposit through the Oz Lotteries site directly. Don't send money via email, funds sent this way may not transfer into your Oz Lotteries account immediately.
Can I use a credit card through PayPal to deposit funds?
No. PayPal doesn't accept credit cards for deposits to Oz Lotteries. To deposit with PayPal, add a debit card or bank account to your PayPal wallet. You can also deposit with a card directly, using our card payment option instead of PayPal.
How do I withdraw using PayPal?
To withdraw with PayPal, you'll first need to link your PayPal account by depositing with it at least once, and your account needs to be verified before you can withdraw prize funds. See How can I withdraw my prize funds? for more on withdrawing generally.
Once linked, go to Withdraw Funds in your Oz Lotteries account and select PayPal as your withdrawal method.
Please note: PayPal may ask you to verify your email address before accepting the withdrawal. You'll get an email to confirm this manually, complete it within 30 days of your withdrawal request, otherwise the funds will be returned to Oz Lotteries.
