Oz Lotteries is a separate entity to The Lott (The Lottery Corporation) and acts as an authorised re-seller on behalf of The Lottery Corporation. Therefore, Live Draws and the publishing of results are not conducted by Oz Lotteries directly.
Saturday Lotto, Weekday Windfall, Oz Lotto, and Powerball draws are broadcast on 7TWO at approximately 8:30 PM AEST on the night of the official draw. It can be streamed live online here where it is conducted at the Channel 7 Studio or at the Lott HQ.
Are all lottery draws conducted using the standard lottery machine?
No - the specialised standard lottery machine is used only for the Oz Lotto, Powerball, Weekday Windfall and Saturday Lotto draws.
For daily games such as Lucky Lotteries and Set For Life, an approved Random Number Generator is used. These devices are regularly tested and approved by the necessary regulators.
Please note, all lottery draws are supervised by Government officials.
Can anyone perform a draw?
No - only Lottery Key Person licensed staff can perform these duties. This license is only issued to experienced staff after a thorough background integrity check.
All lottery draws are conducted by The Lott's Draw Administration, along with all the draw processing functions, such as dividend verification and prize distribution.
Can anyone involved in the draw buy an entry into a lottery game?
No - anyone involved in The Lott's Administration team can not have a ticket related to the draw. This is in line with the processes in place to ensure the integrity of the draw is met.
