Introduced in 1994, Oz Lotto was Australia’s first national lotto game, and has remained popular thanks to its large jackpots. The largest Oz Lotto jackpot to date was $100,000,000 in December 2013, where 1 in 3 Australian adults purchased a ticket.
In Oz Lotto there is a single barrel of 45 balls numbered from 1 to 45.
9 balls are drawn at random from 45 balls numbered 1 to 45. The first 7 balls are the winning numbers and the final 2 balls are the supplementary numbers. These supplementary numbers are used to determine prizes in Divisions 2, 4 and 7.
